Our beautiful historic rooms and buildings, in Bury St Edmunds town centre are a beautiful place to hold a celebration of life, funeral reception, wake or similar memorial event.
We cater for funeral receptions, memorial ceremonies and wakes at Bury St Edmunds & Farmers Club. We offer a warm and sympathetic approach to the circumstances. We provide a simple and effective service for the family & friends concerned. We offer a number of private function rooms that can accommodate groups of most sizes. Many of our rooms are wheelchair accessible and we can offer on-site parking. We are also located in the town centre of Bury St Edmunds close to rail and bus stations.
Our menus offer something for everyone, with a wide range of hot and cold food available. We also have a fully licensed bar, should your guests wish to have an alcoholic or soft drink, or if you wish we can set up a bar tab to be added to your final payment. We are happy to cater for any food allergies or preferences where possible and with suitable notice. We can offer a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options if required.
If the weather permits, guests are invited to enjoy the gardens, subject to availability. This peaceful setting offers the perfect opportunity for some private contemplation, and celebrating life with loved ones.

What services come with the hire?
From a buffet wake to a more formal sit-down memorial, we offer refreshments and full catering options as well as everything to celebrate the life of your loved ones. We are always available to discuss your needs so get in touch with our supportive and helpful team. We can also offer projectors, AV equipment and a large screen TV if you wish to include a presentation during your memorial event.
Who can use the club for events?
Many individuals, clubs, societies and organisations use the Bury St Edmunds & Farmers Club. We are open to both members and non-members for remembrance hire.
